A dedicated space was created to provide a friendly and functional environment for the children of the faculty's staff, postgraduates, and students.

Last Wednesday, April 24, the Intercollegiate Faculty of Biotechnology UG and MUG held the official opening of the 'Children's Play Corner'.  This dedicated space was created as part of the Faculty's involvement in the HR Excellence programme, thanks to funding from the Rector of the University of Gdańsk, prof. dr hab. Piotr Stepnowski. The activities were coordinated by dr hab. Danuta Gutowska-Owsiak, prof. UG.

The corner will provide a safe and engaging play area for children of staff, doctoral students, and students, enabling parents and carers to work quietly at the desk installed within it or to attend meetings in the adjacent social room area.

The official opening of the corner took place during a ceremony hosted by Vice-Rector for International Cooperation dr hab. Anna Jurkowska-Zeidler, prof. UG, Vice-Rector for Research prof. dr hab. Wiesław Laskowski and Dean of the Intercollegiate Faculty of Biotechnology UG and MUG dr hab. Ewelina Król, prof. UG. During the inauguration, the Faculty's commitment to creating a friendly and functional environment for staff and students was emphasised. The play area has been carefully planned with children's safety and development in mind. By taking care of the needs of the entire academic community, the play area is becoming an important part of the Faculty's life, promoting a work-life balance, which is in line with the University of Gdańsk's values.
