Programme of the 3rd Fahrenheit Science Picnic with a record number of attractions

piknik FarU

Workshops, competitions, spectacular scientific demonstrations and even tests and preventive examinations - on Sunday, May 26, we invite adults and children to an extraordinary event that combines education with entertainment, the 3rd Fahrenheit Science Picnic. It will be a day full of fun, learning, and unforgettable experiences. Admission is free!

On Góra Gradowa there will be a vibrant science town (more than 50 tents with attractions!) and a stage with a rich programme, with not only shows but also workshops, quizzes, games, movement attractions, and an unusual fashion show planned.

On the science stage, attractions will take place continuously from 11 a.m. throughout the event, i.e. until 4 p.m. There will be scientific demonstrations with experiments and chemical reactions, games, trivia, and even a scientific fairy tale. There will also be a zero-waste fashion show on stage. The whole event will be hosted by the authors of the popular science blog Crazy Science, Aleksandra and Piotr Stanisławski. At the same time, in the Artillery Carriage House building, a discussion will begin at 2 p.m. entitled ‘Science talks. A sign of equality’.

An important point on the map of the picnic will be the science town, with more than 50 tents where educators will create models together with event participants, take part in educational games and conduct experiments to experience science together. During the Picnic, it will be possible to take a look at the fascinating world of micro-organisms, as well as to delve into the mysteries of the oceans and find out whether sea mining is an opportunity or a threat to the environment. There will also be experiments on the temperature scale and the properties of liquid nitrogen, dry ice, and boiling water. What's more, for those interested in medicine, there will be a presentation on the process of creating and analysing different forms of medicines, including ointments, creams, and tablets. The topic of the brain and neurology will also be touched upon.

A Facebook event has been set up for the 3rd Fahrenheit Science Picnic, which presents information about the attractions and partners of the event. It is worth following the news, as practical and organisational information will also be published there, making it easier to plan your attendance at the picnic. All activities will be free of charge. Bring your bottle from home, thanks to GIWK there will be a saturator on site.
