Explosions, concerts and educational innovation - Erasmus+ Picnic

Hundreds of people visited the Erasmus+ Family Picnic on the fourth of September. The stalls at the Coal Market were tempting in terms of smell - a stall full of delicacies by Bartosz Wicherek, bronze medallist in the cooking category of EuroSkills Graz 2021; sound - a concert stage where, among others, the UG Vocal Studio performed; and image - the tent of the Daniel Fahrenheit University, where picnic participants could see hot explosions and experiments with frozen nitrogen.

- 'With UG Rector prof. Piotr Stepnowski, we had two dreams. Firstly, to bring one of the international agencies to Gdańsk, which would provide us with financial as well as substantive support,' - said during the picnic the Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, dr hab. Anna Maria Jurkowska-Zeilder, prof. UG. - 'Secondly, we wanted to cooperate with the wonderful guys next to me, i.e. with representatives of the very vibrant Erasmus programme and the European Solidarity Corps. Both of these dreams came true.'

The event preceded the inauguration ceremony at the University of Gdańsk of the Erasmus+ InnHUB Gdańsk projects, EuroSkills 2023 Poland competition. Read more here
