Is there room for happiness in economics? Invitation to a lecture by dr hab. Sylwia Pangsy-Kania

This Tuesday, dr hab. Sylwia Pangsy-Kania, prof. UG from the Department of International Business, Faculty of Economics, UG, will give an open lecture titled 'The Economics of Happiness'. During the speech, the scientist will try to answer questions about whether economics has a benevolent face, whether money gives us happiness and whether there is a correlation between consumerism and happiness.

Dr hab. Sylwia Pangsy-Kania, prof. UG is a lecturer and deals with international economic relations, including issues of welfare and innovation.

During her lecture on Tuesday, you will be able to listen to and discuss whether there is room for happiness in economics, whether and how happiness can be measured, and whether it can be an indicator of socioeconomic development.

The lecture will take place in an online format, on December 20, 2022, from 5.30 pm to 7 pm, and will be held as part of the Open Economics Lectures, a series of meetings around macro and microeconomic issues, economic policy, financial markets, corporate finance, entrepreneurship and management, as well as general socio-economic problems of the modern world.
