'The aim and mission of the ACB UG Faculty of Management is to strive to shape and enrich the educational offer so that it responds to the rapidly changing needs of the labour market - both locally and globally. We begin almost every new academic year with new majors and specialisations. Recently, the Faculty's offer at first degree level has been enriched with majors: Sports Management - Management Studies, Management of Healthcare Institutions and Data Science, while at the second degree (Master's) level: Banking and Financial Engineering, Data Analysis - Big Data, Business Informatics and Accounting - ACCA,' said Faculty Dean, prof. dr hab. Mirosław Szreder, during his speech.
The ceremonial inauguration of the academic year 2023/2024 at the Faculty of Management of the University of Gdańsk took place on September 30, 2023, at the Didactic and Conference Centre. The gathered guests were welcomed by the Dean of the Faculty, prof. Mirosław Szreder.
'We are pleased to see an increasing number of foreign students studying Business Informatics, Management or Financial Analyst in English,' said prof. Szreder. Addressing first-year students directly, the Dean argued that studying is both a time of learning and a time of maturing into greater responsibility: 'Just as adults were once responsible for you, in a few years, after graduation, you will be responsible for others. We, the academics, want to assist you not only in acquiring knowledge but also in this growing up, maturing into responsibility.'
After the Dean's speech, the audience was welcomed by the Vice-Rector for Student Affairs and Education, dr hab. Arnold Kłonczyński, prof. UG, who conducted the doctoral promotion ceremony. The habilitation degree of dr hab. inż Piotr Sliż was also presented.
Subsequently, the Vice-Dean for Student Affairs and Education, dr hab. Krzysztof Najman, prof. UG conducted the matriculation of first-year students, during which the new students took the oath, thus joining the academic community of the University of Gdańsk.
Medals of the Commission of National Education were handed out to:

Awards of the Rector of the University of Gdańsk were also given to research and teaching staff of the Faculty of Management.
