On October 25, the Rector of the University of Gdańsk, prof. dr hab. Piotr Stepnowski, and the Rector of the Medical University of Gdańsk, prof. dr hab. Michał Markuszewski, presented appointments to the Vice-Deans of the Intercollegiate Faculty of Biotechnology UG and MUG for the term 2024-2028.
During the meeting between the Faculty's dean team and the authorities of both universities, the work done so far was summarised and the Faculty's priorities and development plans for the next four years were discussed.
The team, appointed for the next term of the IFB UG and MUG Dean dr hab. Ewelina Król, prof. UG, was joined by:
- Vice-Dean for Academic Affairs dr hab. Mariusz Grinholc, prof. UG appointed for another term.
- Vice-Dean for Internationalisation and Development prof. dr hab. Rafał Sądej, appointed for another term of office
- Vice-Dean for Student Affairs and Education dr hab. Andrea Lipińska.
On that day, the Rectors of both Universities also handed over the appointment of prof. dr hab. Igor Konieczny as Director of the Intercollegiate Doctoral School in Biotechnology at the University of Gdańsk and the Medical University of Gdańsk .
During the meeting, prof. dr hab. Anna Żaczek, who served as Vice-Dean of the Inter-University Faculty of Biotechnology in the previous term (2020-2024) and is currently Vice-Rector for Development and Cooperation at the Medical University of Gdańsk, was thanked.
