Mathew Jernstedt
We would like to invite all students interested in travelling to the USA as part of a summer exchange, internship or placement to a meeting with the US Vice Consul Mathew Jernstedt. The American diplomat will meet with students on November 19 at 11:30 in the Jerzy Limon Theatre Hall in the Faculty of Languages' Neophilology Building and on November 20 at 10:00 in Hall C301 at the Faculty of Economics.
During both meetings, Consul Mathew Jernstedt will present the available opportunities for students to travel to the USA, and these include:
- summer exchange programmes, internships that do not interfere with classes during the academic year
- trips with the possibility of funding for second-level students
- internships and placements for undergraduates and graduates within one year after graduation.
Afterwards, a multiple participant in the above programmes will give tips on how to apply and talk about his experiences. The meeting will close with a speech from a representative of the State Department's designated partner, who will present practical aspects of the application process.
The meetings will be held in English.
