The year 2020 is the celebration of freedom and the 40th anniversary of Solidarność. In times, when freedom, humanity, and solidarity are so important, we created the project entitled „The Gate no. 2.”
During the coronavirus pandemics, we seek for understanding, the contact with other people – very often by recollecting the past. Having this in mind, two generations of artists and creators, with the help of the patrons, for several weeks were working on the exhibition becoming a homage for Solidarność. Without politics, with a pinch of hope, through painting, graphics, sculpturing, poetry, music, and installations, for a few moments, we will be able to touch the past – 40 years ago.
The exhibition will be inaugurated by the unique opening, during which the artists from Poland, Ukraine, Belarus and even Iran will perform and present their works. The artists that will transfer u sinto the world of freedom and art will be: Borhan Ahmadi, Jan Jakub Borkała, Anna Natalia Gawrysiak, Paweł Gdaniec, Katarzyna Hołdys, Ewa Knut, Paweł Król, Paulina Kuśmierska, Karol Filip Madyjewicz,Tomasz Markiewicz, Alicja Michowska, Jan Misiek, Eliza Piechnik, Małgorzata Pląskowska, Hubert Poloniewicz, Dominika Popiołek, Paweł Ratajek, Maksymilian Rzepka, Marina Shavloskaya, Weronika Sikorska, Mikołaj Sęczawa, Wojciech Sęczawa, Katarzyna Zachtej, Zuzanna Zwierzchowska and Marta Zvarych.
