How to effectively - and safely - bring innovation from the world of science to the market? The Technology Transfer Office at the University of Gdańsk (TTO UG) invites you to the international workshop ‘Commercialization and Spin-off Support Interactive Workshop’. This is the Polish edition of the European project ‘V4 for Innovation: Knowledge Transfer Cooperation of V4 Countries’, which brings together academic communities, investors, entrepreneurs, and technology transfer experts. The event will take place on May 14, 2026, at the UG Library. Admission is free, but registration is required.

What challenges will we face during the meeting? Together with experts from the V4 countries, we will walk the path ‘from idea to implementation’. The program includes, among other things:

  • a practical assessment of an innovation’s readiness to enter the market (KTH Innovation Readiness Level™ model);
  • analysis of the sources of the greatest market successes of spin-off companies;
  • work in working groups on case studies centred around the three pillars of commercialisation (Business Development, Product Development, and Resource Management).

The workshops are aimed at researchers working on innovations, doctoral students and undergraduates, investors seeking new technologies, as well as entrepreneurs open to innovation.

The following experts, among others, will share their knowledge:

  • Dr hab. Marcin Pawłowski, prof. UG - Leader of the Quantum Cybersecurity and Communication Group at ICTQT, co-founder of SeQre Quantum
  • Katarzyna Gronowska - Director of the Technology Transfer Office, University of Gdańsk, and Tomasz Chyrek - Deputy Director of the Technology Transfer Office, University of Gdańsk
