As part of the 15th Baltic Sea Tourism Forum in Tallinn (Estonia), dr hab. Anna Dziadkiewicz, prof. UG from the Department of Marketing, Faculty of Management, UG, gave an inaugural lecture entitled Recent Trends in Green and Sustainable Tourism in the Baltic Sea Region.
The Baltic Sea Tourism Forum has been held annually since 2008. The event aims to foster dialogue, build consensus and create a shared vision to address key challenges in tourism development around the Baltic Sea.
Guests arriving at the event were welcomed by Sandra Särav from the Estonian Ministry of Economy and Information Technology, Pomeranian Voivodeship Marshal Wieslaw Byczkowski, and Tiina Rajala representing Pohjois-Pohjanmaan liitto - Oulu Region Council in Finland. The closing word was delivered by World Tourism Organisation Regional Director for Europe Alessandra Priante (UNWTO), Director General of the Council of the Baltic Sea States Grzegorz Poznański (former Polish Ambassador to Estonia) and Ambassador for the Baltic Sea Helena Tuuri (Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland).
The EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region (EUSBSR) coordinated and hosted the event.
