ICYMARE (International Conference for Young Marine Researchers) is an international conference organised by and for young researchers in the marine sciences. This year’s edition will take place 7-11 September 2026 in Bremen (Germany). The call for abstracts is open until 15 May 2026.
Since 2019, this grassroots initiative by early-career researchers has created a friendly, supportive space to present their research, gain their first conference experience and establish international contacts.
We particularly encourage you to submit abstracts for the session ‘Advances in sea dynamics: from first principles to machine learning’ (5.2), which will be chaired by mgr Laura Grzonka from the University of Gdańsk. The session will focus on sea dynamics - from classical physical models to modern data-driven approaches and machine learning.
The programme will feature sessions from various fields of oceanography, including many of an interdisciplinary nature, bringing together different areas of the natural sciences.
