In the last days of May, Kraków was the capital of volleyball. The men's and women's teams of AZS University of Gdańsk participated in the finals of the Polish Academic Championships. Both teams won silver medals in the universities' classification.

In the general classification, the players of Coach Edward Pawlun took a very high 6th place. The women's team of AZS UG took 9th place in the general classification of all universities. In June the volleyball section will also play in the Polish Academic Beach Volleyball Championships - the preliminaries and semi-finals will take place in June. The beginning of July will see the final of the competition, organised by AZS University of Gdańsk.
