My Green University - competition for scientific clubs UG

The University of Gdańsk as an environmentally friendly university, creating sustainable learning, working and leisure environment. Competition for scientific clubs at the University of Gdańsk.

The competition announced on July 15 was organised by dr hab. Arnold Kłonczyński, prof. UG, Vice-Rector for Student Affairs and Quality of Education in cooperation with the Centre for Sustainable Development of UG (CZRUG), the Student Parliament and the Centre for Student and Doctoral Activities. The competition was held under the patronage of the Rector of UG, prof. dr hab. Piotr Stepnowski.

The event organisers aim to involve UG students and doctoral students in the process of transforming UG into an environmentally friendly university, creating sustainable learning, working and leisure environment.

The announced competition is the initial stage of the process of developing the Green University strategy. The task of students taking part in the competition is to prepare and submit a concept of a scientific, organisational or investment undertaking, which in the opinion of students and doctoral students cooperating with scientific circles should be an element of works on the Green University strategy, prepared by the university with the participation of CZRUG.

The undertaking submitted for the competition should be feasible to implement in the academic year 2021/2022 and closely related to the sustainable development goals set out by the UN in the Agenda 2030 document (https://www.un.org.pl/).

More details can be found in the competition regulations. There will be financial prizes for the winning academic club(s), which can be used for statutory purposes. Applications should be sent by October 15, 2021, to: czrug@ug.edu.pl. Questions about the competition can also be directed there.
