Dear Employees, Students, PhD Students, Alumni and Friends of the University of Gdansk!

Today is the 50th anniversary of the University of Gdansk. The University, which for five decades has consistently built a responsible and open academic community. Today we would like to thank everyone for being a part of this community and working every day for its development, supporting all plans and intentions. We wish you all that the University will continue to be a place of fulfilment of your passions, research plans and educational dreams - a friendly place. So that our academic community, where there is no place for exclusion for ethnic, religious or philosophical reasons, will continue to be open to new ideas and all problems will be resolved in discussion.  In the current situation we cannot celebrate as we all wish to, but we hope that this will happen soon.

Thank you for all the good things that have happened over the last fifty years - we wish you all good days to come. Happy anniversary!
