National Congress of History Students 09.05 - 13.05

The National Congress of Student Historians is an extraordinary event. The tradition of student meetings has been maintained over the years. During five days, from May 9 to 13, 2022, several dozen talks will be delivered. The organisers have prepared an extremely interesting programme. It is a great celebration for the entire community, an opportunity to get to know each other better and to exchange experiences. The XXVII OZHS in Warsaw has received honorary patronage of the Rector of the University of Gdańsk, the Faculty of History of the University of Gdańsk and the Institute of History of the University of Gdańsk. The event was co-organised by the University of Gdańsk History Doctoral Students' Association and the University of Gdańsk Historians' Association.

During this year's edition of the event young scholars will talk, among others, about the policy of Pope Gregory VII towards bishops, the Japanese understanding of modernisation and the ways of punishing adulterers in the 17th century Polish village. Twenty-one plenary sessions will take place during the five days of the conference. On May 9, the meeting of young historians was opened by the Dean of the Faculty of History, University of Warsaw, dr hab. Łukasz Niesiołowski-Spano, prof. UW.
