Are you planning a holiday by the Polish seaside? If you intend to visit the Tricity and not spend a fortune on accommodation, check out the offer of the UG student dormitories. During the summer holidays, the university offers accommodation in its student dormitories - in comfortable conditions and a great location!

The University of Gdańsk offers 1328 beds in seven student dormitories, in double and triple rooms.

UG offer

The dormitories of the University of Gdańsk are located in various locations in the Tricity:

  • in Gdańsk Główny - 400 m from the Old Town is located Student Dormitory No. 6 (price per day from 87,50 PLN/person);
  • in Gdańsk Oliwa - within the area of the academic district, in the vicinity of Oliwa Cathedral and the 18th-century Abbots' Palace, Oliwa Park and the Tricity Landscape Park (Student Dormitory No. 3 - from PLN 50/person, Student Dormitory No. 4 - from PLN 50/person, Student Dormitory No. 5 - from PLN 67.50/person, Student Dormitory No. 10 - from PLN 67.50/person;
  • at the seaside, in Gdansk Brzeźno - 400 m from the beach, pier and promenade (Student House No. 11 - from PLN 92,50/person);
  • in Sopot, close to the centre, Monte Casino Street and the Sopot pier (Student House No. 7 - from PLN 82.50/person).

Children sleeping in a bed with their parents up to 4 years of age stay in the room free of charge, the price for children from 4 to 12 years of age is PLN 16.20 per night.

Fees for UG students and candidates vary: university candidates - PLN 29.16/day (price includes 8% VAT). The price of PLN 27/day is valid for: UG students doing an internship, retakes, part-time UG students attending classes and postgraduate UG students attending classes held between 01.07-30.09.2022.

A local fee should be added to the costs - in Gdańsk it is PLN 2.50/day, in Sopot PLN 4.80/day.

Equipment of dormitory rooms

The rooms of the UG dormitories are equipped with a couch, desk and wardrobes. Bathrooms, depending on the dormitory, are separate to the room or shared - they are located on each floor of the building. Kitchens are communal and fridges are located in each node or room, depending on the dorm. The university does not provide glassware, kitchenware or cutlery.

The student residences do not offer breakfast, but due to the excellent location and proximity to restaurants and shops - there is no problem arranging meals for every budget.

Booking and payment

Check-in at the student dormitory is from 12:00 noon to 10:00 am the following day. A deposit is required at the time of booking (for bookings over 2 nights, this is 10% of the expected service value). In accordance with UG rules, the deposit will be collected by transfer to the account number designated for each contractor individually.

In the event of cancellation or non-use of confirmed accommodation, the deposit will not be refunded.

Reservations can be made via the UG website. Payment is possible in cash (upon arrival) and by card (in DS-3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 10 and 11).
