On 8-9 September 2022, the rectors of the University of Gdansk visited the SEA-EU partner university in Cadiz. They took part in a meeting of the SEA-EU consortium's Advisory Board and a bilateral meeting between the authorities of the two universities.
During the meeting of the Advisory Board, the members summarised the most crucial scientific, sporting and cultural initiatives. One of the most important topics was also the discussion of the strategy for the continuation of the project with three new universities: the University of Algarve (Portugal), the University of Parthenope in Naples (Italy) and Nord University (Norway).
On the second day, the authorities of the University of Gdansk and the University of Cadiz met to talk about project management, university structure and SEA-EU teams. Among the most widely discussed topics were the university's internationalisation and digitalisation policies.
The University of Gdansk was represented by the Rector of the University of Gdansk Prof. Piotr Stepnowski, the Vice-Rector for International Cooperation Assoc. Prof. Anna Jurkowska-Zeidler, the Vice-Rector for Research Prof. Wieslaw Laskowski, the Vice-Rector for Cooperation and Development Assoc. Prof. Sylwia Mrozowska, and the Vice-Rector for Students and Educational Quality Assoc. Prof. Arnold Kłonczyński.
