She played a millionaire in Juliusz Machulski's 'Vinci' and Michalina Wisłocka's mother in Maria Sadowska's 'Art of Loving', but residents of the Tricity still know her above all for her excellent roles at the Wybrzeże Theatre. On November 29, the UG Faculty of Philology will be visited by Dorota Kolak. A meeting with the actress, who will talk about what goes on 'Behind the Scenes', will begin at 5 p.m. in the 1.43 auditorium.
Among other things, Dorota Kolak will talk about the strategy of working on a role, her greatest professional challenges on stage and on screen, pre-premiere stage fright, and the relationship between theatre and film. The meeting will also focus on the actress's many years of activity at the Wybrzeże Theatre and the artistic benefits of meetings with such filmmakers as Tomasz Wasilewski, Maciej Pieprzyca, Kinga Dębska.
The second part of the event will include questions from the audience.
Hosting: Weronika Janicka and Antoni Zander (second-year students of Theatre Knowledge) with the support of dr Marta Cebera.
Admission to the meeting is free.
The event is organised by the UG Theatre Centre and the Brikolaż Academic Club of Theatre Studies as part of the 'Behind the Scenes' series of theatre meetings.
