Brighten up the hospice sky - collection for hospice at the University of Gdańsk Library

Together, let's support over a thousand patients at the Rev. E. Dutkiewicz Hospice for Children and Adults in Gdańsk. Until the end of the year, donations can be left at special locations at the University of Gdańsk Library.

The Christmas period is conducive to various charitable actions. It is at this time that we think more often about those in need, those who find themselves in a difficult financial, health or personal situation, or even those who require constant care and the presence of another human being.

The UG Library has been supporting the Rev. E. Dutkiewicz Hospice for Children and Adults in Gdańsk for years. This year it also organised a collection of the most necessary items. The staff and patients of the hospice are waiting for: sweets, liquid hand soap, laundry capsules, paper towels, floor cleaners and absorbent underwear.

The hospice cares for around 1,000 patients a year, both in their homes and in the in-patient hospice in Gdańsk. The centre could not function smoothly without funds from donations from institutional sponsors and individuals.

'During the Christmas period, our hearts open wider. It is then easier for us to see the other person and their problems. So it is worth ensuring that the festive atmosphere is maintained in the coming months,' - said UG Library Director Roman Tabisz.

The collection started on December 1 and will last until the end of the year. Donations can be left at the Main Library in the places marked by posters.

We strongly encourage you to support the campaign.
