25 October marked the 25th anniversary of the UG Film Discussion Club “Miłość Blondynki” inauguration. The club’s essential activities are education and promotion of film culture in a broad sense, by showing ambitious, interesting achievements of Polish and foreign cinematography. Taking the form of auteur projects, presenting original, distinctive movie series. The club organizes events and invites people of cinema as guests. That allows the viewers not only to enjoy the work of art but also meet and have a discussion with the authors. The motto of the club reads, Cinema – People – Passion, which perfectly captures the spirit of the Blonde.
The official gala hosted by Jakub Suchecki took place as part of the anniversary celebration. The Vice- Rector for Students Affairs and Education Professor Arnold Kłonczyński presented the special awards to the co-founders, management and distinguished individuals of the club: Prof. Krzysztof Kornacki, the co-founder of the club, the president of the club from 1994-1996, Agnieszka Bacławska-Kornacka the co-founder of the club, Prof. Mirosław Przylipiak club’s patron on behalf of the university in the early stages of the club operation, Mariusz Sławiński the co-founder of the club, the president of the club from 1996-1998, Paulina Negebauer the president of the club from 2003-2007, Wojciech Prabucki the cameraman of the club and Magdalena Zelent, Krystyna Weiher - Sitkiewicz, Marta Maciejewska, Kamil Bryl, Weronika Orzechowska, Alicja Weydmann and Krzysztof Hajduk.
The main award was handed to Mr. Tomasz Pupacz, the current president of the UG Film Discussion Club “Miłość Blondynki”. He was extremely grateful for overall support and help in emergency situations over the years to Mr. Michał Biełuszko, the Director of The Academic Culture Centre "ALTERNATOR” and Professor Arnold Kłonczyński, the Vice-Rector for Student Affairs and Education – for the trust, support and help in searching inspiration.
The culmination point of the gala was a wonderful film music concert “Trzaska gra Smarzowskiego”, performed by:

The musicians enchanted and electrified the audience, rising to the heights of their abilities. The richness of sounds stimulated all senses, leaving the audience with slight unrest and profound reflection.
