Conference with the participation of the former President of the Republic of Poland Aleksander Kwasniewski, the Polish Prime Ministers' Forum and an expert panel European Union - challenges 2040+. Join us at the event to mark the 20th anniversary of Poland's membership in the European Union.
The Rector of the University of Gdańsk, prof. Piotr Stepnowski, and the Dean of the Faculty of Economics, dr hab. Monika Bąk, prof. UG, invite you to participate in the conference ‘Poland in the European Union 2004-2024. Cooperation, Achievements and Challenges’, organised at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Gdańsk on May 17, 2024. The event will take place on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of Poland's membership in the European Union, which is celebrated this year.
The Guest of Honour at the conference will be the President of the Republic of Poland, Aleksander Kwaśniewski.
Jan Krzysztof Bielecki, Hanna Suchocka, Leszek Miller, and Leszek Balcerowicz have confirmed their participation in the Polish Prime Ministers' Forum 20 Years of Poland in the European Union 2004-2024. The Forum will be chaired by economist, writer, member of the Monetary Policy Council in 2004-2010 dr hab. Dariusz Filar, prof. UG.
The event will also feature an Expert Panel European Union - Challenges 2040+ with the participation of Jarosław Wałęsa, dr Magdalena Adamowicz, dr Janusz Lewandowski, and prof. dr hab. Anna Zielińska-Głębocka. The panel will be moderated by the Polish Ambassador to the European Union from 1996 to 2001, Jan Truszczyński.
The event will be held under the honorary patronage of the Governor of Pomorskie Voivodeship Beata Rutkiewicz, the Marshall of Pomorskie Voivodeship Mieczysław Struk and the Educational Portal ‘Perspektywy’.
