Prof. Krzysztof Pomian's lecture ‘Relics, collections, memory’

One of the most eminent Polish historians prof. Krzysztof Pomian will give a lecture at the University of Gdańsk. We would like to invite you on May 9 at 5:00 p.m. to auditorium 1.48 in the building of the Faculty of History. Free admission.

‘Our guest will be prof. Krzysztof Pomian, an eminent philosopher-historian, as well as a publicist,’ says dr Anna Sobecka, Deputy Dean for Students and Cooperation with the Social and Economic Environment of the Faculty of History. ‘This outstanding specialist in the history of collecting, author of the three-volume work “Museum. A World History”, as well as initiator of the Museum of Europe, will be your guest.’ 

The lecture will take place on the eve of the ceremony of awarding prof. Krzysztof Pomian with an honorary doctorate from the University of Gdańsk. We invite you to watch a live broadcast of the honorary doctorate award ceremony on May 10, 2024 at 10:00 a.m.
