DKF UG Miłość Blondynki Online

Discussions on cinema trends, talks with filmmakers and visual arts specialists - a cycle of meetings of DKF UG Miłość Blondynki (TN: Blonde's Love) Online (Film Discussion Club) has been launched. The inaugural panel discussion on the images of love in contemporary media narratives starts today at 18:00.

On the occasion of the upcoming Valentine's Day, we invite you to watch a panel discussion called 'Love, robots and video games,' during which researchers of cinema, games and media narratives will present the directions of the development of showing feelings on the small and large screen. We will hear about love for monsters in horror films, we will consider whether it is possible to love artificial intelligence and how romantic plots are built-in computer games.

The panellists will be: dr Marta Tymińska, dr Sebastian Jakub Konefał and Piotr Wajda, and the meeting will be moderated by dr Agnieszka Kiejziewicz.

Today's panel discussion is also the inauguration of the cycle of meetings of DKF UG Miłość Blondynki (TN: Blonde's Love) Online (Film Discussion Club). The organisers of the cycle are planning two to three film broadcasts per month, which will include discussions of phenomena and current trends in both traditional cinema and all film platforms. Interviews with filmmakers and specialists in the broadly defined visual arts - cinema, series productions or video games - will also be presented. Students of the Knowledge of Film and Audiovisual Culture and Cultural Studies at the University of Gdańsk are involved in the production of the recordings.

The webcast of today's Love, Robots and Video Games' panel will be on the website.
