dr Rafał Raczyński

Dr Rafał Raczyński, coordinator of the Migration Observatory operating within the structures of the Centre for Sustainable Development of the University of Gdańsk, has been appointed as a member of the Pomeranian Regional Labour Market Council in Gdańsk for the 2025-2029 term.

The Regional Labour Market Council is an advisory body to the Marshal of the Pomeranian Voivodeship. Its main objective is to involve labour market partners in the process of managing the Labour Fund's resources and programming and monitoring labour market policy at the regional level.

In the new term (2025-2029), dr Rafał Raczyński will be a member of the Council; he is a political scientist - an assistant professor at the Department of International Relations of the Institute of Political Science at the University of Gdańsk. Dr Raczyński is also the chief research specialist at the Emigration Museum in Gdynia, a member of the Migration Research Committee of the Polish Academy of Sciences and the Pomeranian Council for Regional Migration Policy. His research interests focus on migration issues, migration and integration policies, and diasporic issues. CSDUG's Migration Observatory, coordinated by dr Raczyński, aims to monitor and analyse migration processes - on a local, regional and national scale - and one of the Observatory's tasks is to conduct research on the impact of migration on the labour market.

We would like to congratulate dr R. Raczyński on his appointment and wish him all the best in his work for the development of the labour market in the Pomeranian Voivodeship!

The first meeting of the new term of the Pomeranian Voivodeship Labour Market Council will take place on 20 February.
