
This Friday, the 15th edition of Brain Days in Tricity will begin as part of the worldwide Brain Awareness Week, during which knowledge about the brain is popularised.
At the Faculty of Biology of the University of Gdańsk (March 14 and 15) and in Hevelianum in Gdańsk (March 16), a total of more than a dozen popular science lectures and several dozen workshops, laboratory demonstrations, stand workshops, and games will be held. The event will cover both the neurobiological and psychological aspects of the functioning of the nervous system.
Children, teenagers and adults can take part in the event - the programme includes events for people of all ages, and all activities will be of a popular science nature. The activities are scheduled for the afternoon and evening, and a detailed programme can be found at www.dnimozgu.ug.edu.pl.
The organisers of Brain Days in Tricity are the Faculty of Biology of the University of Gdańsk and Hevelianum in Gdańsk, and the partners of the event are numerous student research clubs, including those from the University of Gdańsk, Medical University of Gdańsk and SWPS University, research units and the Experyment Science Centre.
Admission to all events taking place as part of Brain Days is free of charge, although some of them require seat reservations, which can be made using the form available on the event website.
Brain Days in the Tricity are co-financed from funds granted by the Minister of Education and the Minister of Science as part of the ‘Social Responsibility of Science II’ Programme.
