On 10 December, which is the International Human Rights Day, President Lech Wałęsa, Nobel Peace Prize laureate and honorary doctor of the University of Gdańsk, will visit the University and give a guest lecture.

International Human Rights Day was established to commemorate the signing of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, adopted by the UN General Assembly on 10 December 1948 in Paris.

President Lech Wałęsa's lecture will take place on 10 December 2025 (Wednesday) from 10:00 to 11:30. The venue will be the Prof. Jerzy Limon Theatre Hall (Modern Languages Building, 51 Wita Stwosza Street).
