Reporter’s op-ed competition – ‘My studies during the pandemic” is addressed to all students and doctoral students of the University of Gdańsk. The organizers, namely the Faculty of Modern Languages of the University of Gdańsk and the Online and Social Media Journalism Student Research Group, invites you to join the fun – works can be submitted from October 1st till November 22nd, 2020.
Winter term of the 2020/21 academic year the University of Gdańsk takes place in hybrid learning model (mostly on-line however). Remote studies is a difficult time for You, the students and doctoral students, but also to academic teachers. As a result of that, you cannot get well acquainted with your colleagues, or establish valuable personal relationships, which sometimes become lifelong friendships.
As a form of integration we invite you take part in the competition, which will allow you to share your experience with other students and doctoral students from your faculty, entire University of Gdańsk, and thanks to the auspices of the European Commission, also with students from across Europe, who share your experience du to the worldwide pandemic.
Submit your op-ed and a picture until 22 November 2020.
Write a short text (from 1800 to 2000 characters with spaces) on how your studies look during the pandemic #studiawpandemii (studies during pandemic), what you miss most, what or who currently motivates you to study, what is the biggest inconvenience of this situation, what concerns and saddens you. Attach a photograph presenting ‘My studies during the pandemic’ (high resolution, jpg format). If there are other people on the photograph, please send personal release/ consent of the person to the following email: malcer@ug.edu.pl

From October 1st to November 22nd, 2020, submit your text in editable file format, photo, full name, faculty and year of your study to the following email address: malcer@ug.edu.pl, your op-ed will be published on @filologicznyug Instagram profile. The competition will be settled on 7 December 2020 via the social media (on Instagram @filologicznyug) and on the website of the Faculty of Modern Languages www.fil.ug.edu.pl.
The competition’s results will be published around St. Nicolaus Day, on December 7th. Winners will receive valuable prizes.
