Sunday with foreign languages. A new project of the Foreign Languages Centre UG

Sunday Sessions - Swedish Edition is a new project by the Foreign Languages Centre UG to cover Swedish and English. A meeting with Swedish architecture and landscape is planned to start on 28 March.

- 'The project is to popularise learning foreign languages and the culture of other countries,' explains Alina Swebocka, head of CJO UG. She does not rule out that other languages will join. The series of online meetings is open to students and enthusiasts of Scandinavia, popularising mainly Scandinavian culture. - 'The topics discussed will include issues related to the culture, architecture, language and media of Scandinavia, with the main focus on Sweden,' informs mgr Weronika Metlenga, a lecturer from CJO UG and the originator of the project.

The project involves Swedish-speaking academic teachers, lecturers, Scandinavians and translators. Meetings in Polish and Swedish will be held on the MS Teams platform once a month until June 2021.

The first online meeting will be devoted to Swedish architecture and landscape and will be hosted by Barbara Kuczmarska-Urbaniak, a Scandinavian scholar and teacher of Swedish at the Institute of Scandinavian Studies and Fennistics, University of Gdańsk.
