1st Occupational Safety and Health Day

Tomorrow, Wednesday, we would like to invite employees of the University of Gdańsk to the 1st Occupational Safety and Health Day at the UG.

April 28 is the World Day for Safety and Health at Work. Its theme is: Anticipate, Prepare and Respond to Crises.

On this occasion, for the first time at UG, lectures will be held on the broad topic of health and safety of our university's employees.

- 'Due to the pandemic, we have organised them in the only possible formula - online,' - informed Tomasz Klawikowski, Head of the Occupational Safety and Health Office at the UG. - The lectures will be available to all employees of the University of Gdańsk via the Teams application.

The action was preceded by sending employees electronic information with links to particular lectures. Information was also posted on the employee portal. Lectures will be conducted live, it will also be possible to ask questions.

11.00 - 11.45: SARS-CoV-2 virus and COVID-19 disease in science and universities - prof. dr hab. Grzegorz Węgrzyn, Head of the Department of Molecular Biology

13:00 - 13.45: How to take care of your mental health - dr Agata Rudnik, Director of the Psychological Support Centre

There will also be a competition entitled 'Bet on Health and Safety at the UG 2021'. - crossword puzzle - available on the UG employee portal. To take part in it, you need to solve the crossword puzzle and send the entry form by e-mail to bhp@ug.edu.pl or put it in the new OHS box (New UG Rector's Office ground floor) by 30.04.21. You can win 10 material prizes worth about PLN 100.
