'Mobility in Higher Education' - a new project funded by the European Economic Area Financial Mechanism 2014-2021

The Education Programme, within the framework of which the co-financed project was prepared, was established under the Intergovernmental Agreement on the implementation of the Financial Mechanism of the European Economic Area for the period 2014-2021. The Programme aims to reduce economic and social disparities within the European Economic Area and to strengthen bilateral relations between Poland and the Donor States (Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway) in the field of education.

The University of Gdańsk project aims to increase the mobility of students and university staff between Poland and Donor States.

The project's scope includes:

1. Mobility of UG staff:

  • mobility of academic teachers between Polish and Donor States' universities to teach, for a period from 1 day to 6 weeks;
  • mobility of staff between HEIs from Poland and Donor States to realize job shadowing trips, participation in seminars, training, workshops and conferences improving skills and widening knowledge in a given field, for a period from 1 day to 6 weeks.

2. Mobility of UG students:

  • mobility of Polish students to Donor States for placements in cooperating institutions for the period from 2 to 12 months in one academic year.

The project entitled 'Mobility in Higher Education' benefits from a grant of EUR 26 245.00 received from Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway under the EEA funds. The project aims to increase the mobility of students and university staff between Poland and Donor States.
