As every year in September, the Students' Parliament of the University of Gdańsk organised an adaptation camp for first-year students who will start their studies at our University from the 1st of October. Interest in participation was very high, however, the need to observe sanitary rigours meant that 80 students could take part. They represent all faculties. Over the next few days, they will participate in training on student rights and obligations and learn about various forms of student activity at the University of Gdańsk. Representatives of the Academic Sports Association and the Alternator Academic Cultural Centre will talk about what is on offer for students, while the manager of the Scholarship Office, Maciej Ciemny, will discuss the possibility of obtaining scholarships. Newly admitted students are encouraged to join the international exchange within the Sea-UE project and others.
On the first day, the students were visited by the representatives of the university authorities, Rector prof. Piotr Stepnowski, Rector-senior prof. Bernard Lammek and Vice-Rector for Student Affairs and Quality of Education Arnold Kłonczyński, who presented the participants with commemorative T-shirts. The meeting was also attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, prof. Tadeusz Dmochowski, and the Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Jacek Taraszkiewicz.
