As a result of the extension of the restrictions on the functioning of universities governed by the Minister of Science and Higher Education, I hereby inform:
Regarding CLASSES:
Regulation No 50/R/20 of 15 May 2020 amends the academic calendar:
Summer semester examination session has been extended till 30 June 2020.
Classes at the University of Gdańsk will be held remotely with the use of e-learning or on-line methods until the end of summer semester.
Examinations and receiving credits during the 2019/2020 academic year will take place pursuant to the provisions of the University of Gdańsk Rector’s Regulation No 34/R/20 of 31 March 2020 on specific mode of holding exams and receiving credits during the coronavirus SARS-Cov-2 threat remotely.
Laboratory classes, impossible to be held remotely and unpostponable for the next semester, following the individual approval of the Rector, might be held provided precautionary measures are adopted.
Regarding UNIVERSITY FUNCTIONING RESTRICTIONS:
The restrictions introduced by the University of Gdańsk Rector’s Regulation No 20/R/20 of 10 March 2020 on preventing the spread of coronavirus SARS-Cov-2 (with amendments) remains in force.
Until at least 31 August 2020 no conference, symposium, lecture, artistic performance, other meeting organized by the University of Gdańsk or event organized by third party entity will be allowed at the University of Gdańsk premises.
Until at least 30 June 2020 no accommodation of new people and external guests visits to student housing and other UG facilities will be allowed.
Regarding ACADEMIC TEACHERS AT THE UNIVERSITY PREMISES:
Rules of the UG infrastructure use for the academic teachers:
The faculty buildings are only available, subject to the consent of a dean or a head of intracollegiate unit, to staff and doctoral students of particular faculty whose research requires use of resources available only at the particular building.
Total number of 50 people (specified in the paragraph above) may be simultaneously present at a faculty’s premises, where people simultaneously present at a faculty’s premises should remain out of congregate settings and maintain 2 meter social distance.
Wearing protective masks and gloves is recommended in common areas (hallways, bathrooms etc.), workplaces populated by more than one person, or when maintaining 2 meters social distance is impossible
A staff member or doctoral student cannot stay in a building for longer than 6 hours a day.
A dean or a head of intracollegiate unit is responsible for proper staff and doctoral students workflow management.
Regarding ADMINISTRATIVE STAFF:
Guidelines for non-academic staff at the University of Gdańsk:
Until further notice, ensuring safe working conditions (like maintaining 2 meter social distance) the reinstating of working hours set forth in Work Regulation is underway. During the transitional period a head of unit may decide on remote working or working hours modification for their subordinate employees. At this time, wearing protective masks and gloves is recommended in common areas (hallways, bathrooms etc.) and workplaces populated by more than two people.
Heads of intracollegiate and faculty administrative bodies are required to send weekly information on unit’s operation schedule to kanclerz@ug.edu.pl and with carbon copy to Human Resources Department (i.dabrowska@ug.edu.pl).
