A record number of 15 teams representing universities from the Pomeranian Voivodeship competed in the Pomeranian Academic Sailing Championships on Saturday May 7. The best team in the general classification was the University of Gdańsk. The 2022 Polish Academic Champions are: Jakub Gołębiowski, Wiktoria Gołębiowska and Jakub Stremlau. The competition was organised by Yacht Club Rewa and AZS Gdańsk.

The team classification included results of two crews, also here the University of Gdańsk was classified on a very good, second place, giving way only to the Gdańsk University of Technology.

Now our sailing section is facing the most important start in the calendar - the Polish Academic Championships, which will be held last week in Wilkasy near Giżycko.

The decoration of the best crews and representatives was attended by the representatives of the University, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation dr hab. Anna Maria Jurkowska-Zeidler, prof. UG, prof. dr hab. Kamil Zeidler, Director of CWFiS UG dr Jan Patok and President of the AZS University of Gdańsk club Piotr Walczak.
