How not to be afraid of insects and company? Take a look at the blog 'Ms entomologist'

'Ms Entomologist' is a blog about the identification, life, biology, husbandry and usefulness of invertebrates. It is run by dr Paulina Kozina from the Department of Invertebrate Zoology and Parasitology, Faculty of Biology, University of Gdańsk. If you want to learn more about this group of animals, we encourage you to read on.

Are you afraid of insects? Or, on the contrary, are you passionate about these creatures? Regardless of your answer, we recommend the blog by dr Paulina Kozina of the Faculty of Biology, University of Gdańsk, who publishes information of interest to those fleeing from a spider, wasp or fly, but also to all insect lovers, insect enthusiasts, entomophobes and others.

'I identify, describe, characterise and help with insect questions. I don't urge everyone to breed spooks, spiders or beetles at home, but I am happy when at least one of them is spared after reading the blog,' - the author writes on her website.

The UG researcher also offers her help in identifying invertebrates - anyone interested in such an option can send photos (the better the quality, the easier it is to recognise) along with a description (where found, in what environment) to pani.entomolog@onet.pl or in a private message on the entomologist's Facebook page.

The latest blog post is about bumblebees. But you will also find material on ticks, crabs, Spanish flies and ... much more.

We encourage you to read on.
