Due to the deteriorating economic situation of HEIs in Poland, the Rectors gathered in the Presidium of the Conference of Rectors of Academic Schools in Poland issued a dramatic appeal 'to the Authorities of the Republic of Poland to take decisive steps, as soon as possible, to protect the units of the national system of higher education and science from the financial and staffing crisis threatening them'.

Let us recall that the Conference of Rectors of Academic Schools in Poland (CRASP) is a representative institution of the higher education and science community, including the University of Gdańsk.
