An RPG session set in post-apocalyptic Poland, a LARP  (live-action role-playing game), and cult board and card games - these await the participants of the Board Game Night organised by the ‘UGranie’ Scientific Circle and the Chemical Business Scientific Circle.

We invite both fans of short, quick games and long, complicated sessions. The event starts at 8 p.m. on Friday, March 15, and does not end until 6 a.m. on Saturday, March 16, so everyone will be able to complete their fierce battles and hours-long duels.

A number of well-known board game publishers such as Muduko, Rebel, Black Monk and Portal Games have joined the event. Sponsors lent their products for the Night, meaning a wide selection of board games, card games, and more. The organisers have prepared an RPG session in a post-apocalyptic atmosphere. Participants will have the chance to take on the role of the last Poles living in a country destroyed by dozens of wars.

‘Full of bandits, androids, and beasts, this beautiful country has been destroyed by dozens of wars. And yet in this pain and destruction, there is hope. Hope for a better tomorrow, for rebuilding. But in order for this to happen, people strong in will and conviction are needed,’ reads the description of the game.

One of the main attractions of the event will be a LARP session involving outdoor role-playing. As part of the Board Night, game participants will take on the role of vampires who sit on a hill and wait for their last sunrise. We invite you to sign up for the LARP.

The event is only open to staff, students, postgraduates, or alumni of the University of Gdańsk with accompanying persons. Registration is required for the Board Game Night.

The event is the result of cooperation between the All-University Scientific Circle of Digital and Analogue Games ‘UGranie’ and the Scientific Circle of Chemical Business. The organisers of the event are board members of both scientific circles: Bartosz Dolewski, Emilia Paszkowska, Kewin Andrzejewski, Marcin Gontarek, Mikołaj Kornacki, Nadia Fiałek, Natalia Wyźlic, Nikodem Leśniak, Oliwier Chwalisz.
