Increasing the mobility of University of Gdańsk students, doctoral students and staff within the Erasmus+ programme and supporting the comprehensive international development of the University of Gdańsk within the SEA-EU alliance - these are the main objectives of the SEA-nergy project, which received funding in the first call of the ‘Support for European Universities’ programme run by the National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA).
The aim of the programme is to strengthen partnerships and the role of Polish universities in alliances operating under the Erasmus+ European Universities Initiative. The University of Gdańsk received funding in the amount of PLN 1,982,357.50 for the project ‘Support for synergic and complementary activities of the SEA-EU 2.0 - SEA-nergy project’ , which is led by Vice-Rector for Cooperation and Internationalisation dr hab. Anna Jurkowska-Zeidler, prof. UG, .
The SEA-nergy project encompasses a wide range of activities aimed at UG students, doctoral students and academic and administrative staff to enhance mobility and comprehensive international development. The aim is to support the activities of the SEA-EU alliance.
Key tasks of the project include:
- short-term mobility for students and PhD students,
- international training and English language courses for administrative staff,
- creation of Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs),
- modernisation of the Research Potential and Shared Infrastructure Database,
- organisation of research mobility and the SEA-EU student ambassador programme,
- supporting young researchers through study visits abroad.
The SEA-nergy project supports the University of Gdańsk in adapting to the changing requirements of internationalisation, contributing to the creation of a diverse and inclusive academic environment, the development of staff competences and the strengthening of scientific cooperation on the international arena.
