The fourteenth of January 2020 can be considered the special date during the 2020 Jubilee Year for the University of Gdańsk. The official framework agreement signing between the University of Gdańsk and Remontowa Holding S.A. Capital Group happened this day.
The following officials represented the University of Gdańsk at the agreement signing event: His Magnificence, Rector of the University of Gdańsk, prof. dr hab. Jerzy Piotr Gwizdała; Vice-Rector for Development and Cooperation with Business and Industry, prof. dr hab. Krzysztof Bielawski; Deputy Dean for Research and Part Time Studies at the Faculty of Management, dr hab. Paweł Antonowicz; Assistant Professor and Director of the Center for Analysis and Expertise at the University of Gdańsk, dr Sebastian Susmarski. The Remontowa Holding S.A. Capital Group was represented by the CEO of the Remontowa Holding S.A. Gdańsk, Piotr Henryk Soyka, together with the company’s Financial Director, Michał Makowski.
The Parties expressed willingness to cooperate in a range of areas, such as: development of expert opinions and analyses for the benefit of the Remontowa S.A. Capital Group; development of trainings in research fields of the University of Gdańsk experts and the Remontowa S.A. Capital Group interests; co-organizing scientific conferences, symposia and other forms of transfer of knowledge and experience; inspiring research essential for the development of business, including technology transfer and commercialization of scientific research results; internships for outstanding University of Gdańsk students at the Remontowa S.A. Capital Group company; joint research and development projects.
The begin of implementation of the contractual provisions initiated launching “The Scientific and Economic Cooperation Between the Faculty of Management of the University of Gdańsk and Remontowa Holding S.A. Capital Group Project”, carried out by the Department of Business Economics at the Faculty of Management of the University of Gdańsk, through the intermediary of the Center for Analysis and Expertise at the University of Gdańsk. The project is addressed to students, allowing them to develop unique management and finance competences in the shipbuilding industry. The outstanding students will be offered paid internships and probationary contracts (only applies to students of the last semester of graduate studies).
