Summer School of Polish Language and Culture at the University of Gdańsk

The Academic Centre for Polish Language and Culture for Foreigners (ACJPiKP) invites you to the Summer School of Polish Language and Culture. During the course, you will be able to develop communication skills, learn grammar, reading comprehension and writing skills.

An intensive, four-week online course of the Polish language will start already on July 5 (the course will last until July 30). Classes will be held every day from Monday to Friday, from 17:00 (3x45 minutes).

- 'We invite everyone interested in learning about the Polish language and culture. During the course we develop communication skills, teach grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension and writing skills. Students can also take part in cultural activities. Our lecturers are experienced teachers who teach Polish as a foreign language at the University of Gdańsk,' says Piotr Grzonka of the Academic Centre of Polish Language and Culture for Foreigners.

Students will receive certificates confirming their participation in the summer school.

The price of the course is 1200 PLN. If you are interested, please contact polskidlacudzoziemcow@ug.edu.pl.

The Academic Centre of Polish Language and Culture for Foreigners was established at the University of Gdańsk in April 2021, as a new, all-university and extra-faculty unit, coordinating all activities related to teaching Polish as a foreign language.

ACJPiKP is responsible for teaching Polish as a foreign language to foreigners, holding certificate examinations, running courses, workshops and methodological training, as well as coordinating activities related to the implementation of study programmes in the field of Polish as a foreign language, e.g. studies for students from Harbin, organising seminars for teachers and lecturers teaching Polish abroad, seminars and conferences devoted to Polish language and culture, teaching Polish as a second language and translations, as well as popularising knowledge of Polish language and culture.

- 'We have noticed a constantly growing interest in our offer. The Centre was established, among other things, to respond to it. In the 2019/20 academic year, the Faculty of Philology ran courses for 27 people, a year later, despite the pandemic, for 49. In 2021/22, we intend to beat this result,' - adds Piotr Grzonka.

The ACJPiKP website will be launched in the coming days.
