'Intellectual Property Law' - new publication, help for creators, academic staff, students

Wolters Kluwer Polska publishing house has just published a book entitled 'Intellectual property law'. The author of the book is dr Krzysztof Czub, assistant professor in the Department of Civil Law at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Gdańsk. The author is an advocate and Polish and European patent attorney, Vice President of the Polish Chamber of Patent Attorneys.

The publication, which is a scientific monograph with elements of an academic handbook, systematises and clearly discusses issues of intellectual property law - copyright and industrial property law. The scope of the study covers, among others: works within the meaning of copyright law; objects of related rights (artistic performances, phonograms and videograms, broadcasts, first editions, scientific and critical editions); objects of industrial property (in particular inventions, utility models, industrial designs, trademarks, geographical indications), as well as other intangible assets: know-how, company, company name, Internet domain names, databases.

- 'The book also contains procedural issues related to the infringement of intellectual property rights,' - informs the author Dr Krzysztof Czub, from the Faculty of Law and Administration, University of Gdańsk. - 'In the publication, you can find numerous examples, illustrations, tables and guidelines on how to apply for the protection of intangible assets, as well as exercise of intellectual property rights (including the issue of agreements on transfer of rights and license agreements) and their protection.'.

The publication is intended in particular for authors, academic staff, students and PhD students. It can also help in the process of commercialization and management of intellectual property of the university.
