Although the resits are still going on, for many UG students the midterms of the winter semester 2021/2022 are now in the past. Some exams took place remotely, others stationary. Let's see how students coped with this most difficult time of the semester.

- The midterms were fine. I only failed one subject, I'm just waiting for a resit. The biggest exams we took were apparatus, which I didn't pass, organic chemistry and analytical chemistry. A lot of people told me that midterms were difficult, in my opinion, it was fair. If someone studied, they could have passed everything with a good grade. If someone flunked a subject for another, they end up like me, with apparatus.

Some people from my year still don't have results from the analytical chemistry resit. There is a bit of a tug-of-war as to whether someone has passed or failed. This semester we have one group for auditory exercises, and usually, we had two, so there were definitely some cuts.

- Those were my first midterms and I have fond memories of them. I have passed everything on my first try. The lecturers told us what might be on the exams, so we knew what to prepare for. Most of my friends also did well. I have nothing to complain about, so I don't have too much to say. The hardest part was physics, the different formulas and concepts. I'm not the best at it, so it was a bit hard, but it’s all passed.

- The midterms went well for me. I passed everything the first time. I thought it would be more difficult. Most of the exams were oral, in which you have to be very lucky to get the right questions. For example, in Romanticism, I got a description of 'Cain' by Byron and the difference between 'Dziady' by Rychcik and Mickiewicz. Another person had a description of a family in 'The Un-divine Comedy'. It is known that 'Dziady' is more famous and therefore easier. I also had some written exams, for example on the poetics of drama.  I hope others did well too.

- Overall, it went very lightly compared to last semester. I was lucky enough to be exempted from two exams because I got a very good grade in the practicals. As far as humanities studies are concerned, most credits come at the end of the semester. The finals are kind of a respite for us. Of the subjects I took, Latin was the one I had to work on the most. I had to learn the conjugations of nouns and verbs. I also had one oral exam, which is nice because you can always add something. I also got quite simple questions in which there was some room for interpretation. I have to admit that a lot of luck was involved in these results. It can be a lottery.

- I support my colleague one hundred percent. I did not strain myself during the midterms either, I took only one exam and passed all the others with A's from the practicals. I can therefore say that the one exam I took was both the most difficult and the easiest. It was an exam on the auxiliary sciences of history, so in fact, you have to say that it was a kind of 'mare'. I also agree with what Michael said, that the biggest amount of work is at the end of the term. For us, the finals unofficially started at the beginning of January.

The midterms went well for me. I only had one resit, so it wasn't too bad. It was possible to prepare without starting a month in advance, so I didn't lose any sleep.
