On behalf of the University of Gdańsk, dr Hanna Wolska from the Faculty of Law and Administration is the manager of the grant, co-financed by the Polish-German Foundation for Science, whereas on behalf of the University of Giessen dr Magdalena Jaś-Nowopolska from the Faculty of Law manages the grant.

The objective of the project is to conduct research on legal conditions of the freedom of business activity in Poland, Germany and the influence of European integration process on economic relations of those countries. The above objective will be achieved by the consistent tirad of scientific actions, comprising the following scientific undertakings:

  • A debate, being the starting point for a discussion on the subject matter of the project.
  • Launching an online platform, that will serve as an instrument to continue the initiated discussion on a broader scientific forum („Polsko – Niemieckie Forum Wymiany Myśli Prawnej” – Polish-German Forum for Legal Thought Exchange).
  • Publishing scholarly document summarizing the considerations of Polish law and German law researchers, within the scope of the first two actions. The publication will serve not only as a starting point for future research, but will also have practical purpose, being a valuable handbook for businesspeople  and law practitioners interested in providing legal services for business on Polish and German markets.

It should be highlighted that project related scientific actions will serve both, facilitating knowledge transfer between the partners of the project and economic integration of Poland and Germany.
