On the initiative of the Dean of the Faculty of Languages, dr. hab. Urszula Patocka-Sigłowa, prof. UG and with the consent and support of the Rector of UG, prof. dr hab. Piotr Stepnowski, in cooperation with the Academic Centre of Polish Language and Culture for Foreigners, courses are organised at the Faculty of Languages for refugees who seek help in such large numbers at the University of Gdańsk. The number of those in need is so large that every assistance is needed.

In connection with this extremely important and necessary initiative, prof. dr hab. Aneta Lewińska invites all glottodidactics interested in conducting such courses, who teach foreign languages, to a series of four online pieces of training. We will jointly develop a programme of a Polish language course for beginners, and the Dean of the Faculty of Philology will purchase books for the lecturers.

• The condition of participation in these workshops at TEAMS is the consent of the lecturers to teach Polish language courses organised at the Faculty (each lecturer - 30 hours).
• The first workshop meeting for lecturers will take place on March 22, from 19.00 to 21.00 online.
• The next workshop dates: March 25, 28 and 30, 19.00 - 21.00

The first courses are due to be launched at the Faculty as early as March 31, 2022.
