In the first edition of the ranking of the most cited scientists in the world in the field of chemistry, prepared by the portal Research.com, there are researchers from the University of Gdańsk.  

In the honourable group of the most important experts, whose achievements have influenced and are influencing the development of the world's science concerning environmental protection and chemistry, from the Faculty of Chemistry we can find prof. Jerzy Falandysz, prof. Adam Józef Liwo, prof. Piotr Skurski and prof. Piotr Stepnowski. 

The ranking of top scientists is a list based on data analysis of 166 880 academics in Google Scholar and Microsoft Academic Graph.

Additionally, each profile is compared with the results of publications in other sources.
