The electronic enrolment to the Doctoral Schools at the University of Gdańsk starts on August 3. 104 openings await prospective candidates. A doctoral school is a four year full-time course available in four following disciplines: Humanities, Social sciences, Natural sciences and Medical and health sciences.
The University of Gdańsk offers education in the following doctoral schools: Doctoral School of Natural Sciences, Doctoral School of Humanities and Social Sciences and Intercollegiate Biotechnology Doctoral School of University of Gdańsk and Medical University of Gdańsk. The following scientific fields of study are available at UG Doctoral Schools: mathematics, biological sciences, chemical sciences, physical sciences, Earth and related environmental sciences, archeology, history, philosophy, linguistics, literary studies, culture and religion studies, art studies, economics and finance, management and quality studies, social and economic geography and spatial management, political science and public administration, law, sociology, education psychology, biological sciences and medical sciences.
- Access to a doctoral school shall be open to persons holding the degree of magister or the equivalent degree. A doctoral school is a four year, 8 semester, full-time course. The main purpose of establishing doctoral schools is to improve doctoral students’ education in Poland – states dr hab. Arnold Kłonczyński, prof. UG, Vice-Rector for Student Affairs and Education.
Doctoral school education is free of charge, moreover doctoral students receive scholarships.
The 2020/2021 academic year admissions starts on 3 August 2020. In-depth rules, admissions volumes, admissions dates and a list of required admissions documents have been specified separately by each of the doctoral school and are available on the doctoral schools website, in Annexes to the Resolutions regarding 2020/2021 academic year admissions.
The announcement of all doctoral schools admissions results will take place on 16 September 2020.
