Another webinar embedded in the topic of inventions and patents - 'Good practices in the commercialisation process' - is ahead of us. The event is organised by the Technology Transfer Centres UG, PG and GUMed and is addressed to all those interested in the topic.
The webinar entitled. 'Good practices in the commercialisation process' will be held on November 3, 2022, from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm. The first part of the programme will be devoted to the commercialisation of an innovative project and the second to commercialisation through the launch and development of a startup.
The topic will be introduced to the participants by Katarzyna Gronowska - Director of the Technology Transfer Centre UG. Among the speakers will be Zuzanna Kot, Michał Jankowski and Karol Bober.
The speakers will present the basic principles of technology project management from a business perspective, including the stages of commercialisation, taking into account the strategy for protecting the results of R&D activity. The issues will be presented from the perspective of investors and the industry sector.
During the event, topics to be addressed will include:
- what tools and methods are used in the process of assessing market potential?
- how to check whether a project of high scientific value always has market potential?
- what are the most important elements building the value of technological projects?
- what are the risks of the commercialisation process?
- what challenges do budding entrepreneurs face - barriers, risks, gaps in the venture?
- what are the pros and cons of setting up a startup compared to other commercialisation opportunities?
- which grants can improve liquidity and which can be a "nail in the coffin" for startups?
Zuzanna Kot - business advisor, focused on creating the future of companies, brands and products, in areas related to innovation. Leads and supervises implementation processes -audits, support in strategic planning, implementation and verification of business assumptions. Specialist in the area of obtaining financing, especially within the framework of European funds. As a philologist, she gained her first consulting experience as a language coach for management teams. For more than 6 years she has been working for INVESTIN as a Business Development and Strategy Manager.
Michał Jankowski - manager specialising in the area of supporting the development of innovative projects through consulting, management and mentoring. He cooperates with research teams, entrepreneurs and representatives of the public sector at all stages of project development - from modelling its assumptions, through diagnosing funding opportunities and coordinating and implementing substantive activities, to verifying and monitoring progress. He supports companies in the areas of Industry 4.0, environmental and green technologies, e-health and geoinformatics and remote sensing. He has authored business plans and business models, intellectual property valuations, commercialisation strategies and the development of companies based on innovative activities. Since 2016, he has been associated with INVESTIN.
Karol Bober - President of the GRANTERA consulting company. Expert in the field of EU grants, with 20 years of experience in obtaining and accounting for grants. Specialises in high-tech and R&D projects. He advised such entities as Lotos Group, Bibus Menos, Gdańskie Młyny, Sunreef Yachts, Blirt or Wirtualna Polska. Graduate of the course "Enterprise Management according to MBA standards" at the Warsaw School of Economics. Completed the course "Executive Innovation Leader" conducted by prof. Mario Raich. Member of the Council of Intelligent Specialisations of Pomerania (ISP 2) and the Monitoring Committee on behalf of the Lewiatan Confederation.
