The Branch of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Gdańsk has launched the VIII edition of the Competition for the Young Scientist Award of the Branch of PAS in Gdańsk. This is a competition for the best scientific publication of 2022, the lead author of which is an employee or doctoral student of a scientific institution from the Pomeranian, Kuyavian-Pomeranian or West Pomeranian Voivodeship.

The prize is awarded to five laureates equally for original research achievements in the humanities and social sciences, biological and agricultural sciences, sciences and earth sciences, technical sciences and medical sciences. They should be employees or doctoral students of scientific institutions in the following provinces: Kuyavian-Pomeranian, Pomeranian and West Pomeranian.

The amount of each award is PLN 4 000. There are also distinctions in each category.

Applications for the award should be submitted in electronic form to: gdansk@pan.pl from January 15 to March 31 this year. The results of the competition will be published by May 31 this year on the website www.gdansk.pan.pl.
