On Tuesday, June 27, the Director of the Institute of Political Sciences, dr Arkadiusz Modrzejewski, prof. UG, signed a cooperation agreement with the Association of Honorary Consuls in Poland, represented by its President and Honorary Consul of Bulgaria in Gdańsk, Jan Strawiński.

The initiator of the cooperation is dr Margot Stańczyk - Minkiewicz, who organised an international conference with the Association devoted to honorary consuls in March. The event will be cyclical, and cooperation between the Institute and the Association will include activities such as the organisation of academic seminars, preparation and implementation of research projects, and support for teaching on diplomatic subjects.

‘This agreement institutionalises cooperation which is already underway and whose results are already visible, such as the conference in March devoted to honorary consuls in modern diplomacy,' said professor Arkadiusz Modrzejewski. ‘Plans for joint activities are ambitious and long-term. Certainly, students of the Institute of Political Sciences and other departments will be soon able to participate in events prepared together by the Institute and the Association.
