The Minister of Education and Science has awarded scholarships to eminent young scientists. Six people from the University of Gdańsk were among this year's 230 laureates. The researchers will receive the Minister's scholarships of PLN 5,390 per month for up to three years.
The Minister's scholarships were granted to young scientists conducting innovative, high-quality research and having impressive scientific achievements of high prestige and international impact. Among them were six outstanding researchers from the University of Gdańsk.
In the field of agricultural sciences, the scholarship was awarded to dr Agata Motyka-Pomagruk from the Intercollegiate Faculty of Biotechnology UG&MUG.
In the field of humanities, the laureates were dr Mateusz Cwaliński and dr Cezary Kucewicz from the Faculty of History, and dr Bartosz Wcisło from the Faculty of Social Sciences.
In social sciences, the scholarship was awarded to dr Piotr Sliż from the Faculty of Management and mgr Artur Sawicki from the Faculty of Social Sciences.
This year, the MEiN received as many as 1,828 applications. A list of all this year's laureates can be found on the Ministry of Education and Science website.
