Exchange Programme to the US – call for applications launched

The Kosciuszko Foundation is opening a call for grant applications to conduct research projects at American universities in the academic year 2024/2025 under the Exchange Program to the US.

Grants are awarded in all scientific disciplines in three categories:

  1. The Kosciuszko Foundation Fellowship is aimed at research and teaching fellows at any stage of their post-doctoral career. Lasting from 3 to 6 months, the Fellowship enables individuals employed at Polish academic and scientific institutions to carry out independent research or research and teaching projects at American universities, research institutes, government institutions or non-governmental organisations.
  2. The Kosciuszko Foundation Grants are 3 to 6-month grants intended for doctoral students at Polish universities. Their aim is to carry out individual research projects at an American university or non-governmental organisation in the USA.
  3. The Kosciuszko Foundation Teaching Fellowship is awarded to Polish lecturers intending to teach Polish history, culture, and literature at American universities. Funding is awarded for a maximum of 9 months.

The Kosciuszko Foundation, Inc. (Kosciuszko Foundation), founded in New York City in 1925, has worked for over 90 years in the United States and Poland to deepen ties between the two countries through educational programmes and scientific and cultural exchanges. Each year, the Foundation allocates almost one million dollars for scholarships and research grants for Polish scientists, American scholars' visits to Poland, American students' participation in summer schools at Polish universities, and English language learning in Poland during summer language camps.
